Carl has also served as a Safe Riding instructor for other motorcycle organizations and currently holds "Experienced Tourmaster" certification with the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.

Carl became a Christian In April of 1971 and shortly after becoming saved, he began working with a ministry for boys called the Royal Rangers.  Carl was involved in this ministry for twenty years and served in several leadership positions including "Instructor Trainer" with the National Royal Rangers Office.  In this position, Carl trained men to become leaders of this ministry.  Carl then rode for ten years with another motorcycle ministry before founding the Road Riders For Jesus.  Carl has  college degrees in Journalism and Commercial Photography, was a member of the National Honor Society, Chi Omega Rho fraternity at Evangel College in Springfield, MO and was selected to the National Dean's list of Honor Students.

Sally Crackel became a Christian in 1974 while attending Indiana University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in music.   Sally currently works for Ameren Missouri, a large utility company located in St. Louis, MO.  Sally has travelled extensively with Carl and has logged over 400,00 miles of riding with Carl.  Sally currently serves as International Secretary/Treasurer for RRJ as well as overseeing the Sally's Sundries store for the ministry.

Carl and Sally were introduced to each other through mutual Christian friends and were married in December of 1977.  They currently reside in Hillsboro, Mo with their dog, Kana.

Tim and Brenda Parker - SE Regional Coordinators

We have both been raised in the Assembly of God Church, with Godly parents.  After high school, Tim went into the Marine Corp and served 6 years.  After coming out of the Marine Corp, he went into Law Enforcement.  He re-activated himself for 2 years, during Desert Storm and then 2 more years in Iraq.  Tim retired after 30 years under Homeland Security/Alabama State Police, as an expert Homicide Re-constructionist.  Tim gave his life to the Lord on an emergency room table, shortly thereafter he was given a job straightening song books in the church, then started teaching Sunday School, became an Ordained Deacon and then Ordained as a Minister.  Brenda was saved at a very young age and then recommitted her life to God as an adult.  She spent many years raising children and then went into retail management.  God has truly blessed us, we have 2 sons and 2 daughters, all grown.  We also have 2 grandsons and 3 granddaughters and 1 grandchild due in May 2016.   We have been with RRJ for 1 1/2 years.  We always knew the Lord was calling us into the motorcycle ministry, but each time we checked into a ministry, we found out we didn't want any part of it.  We found a flier for RRJ and decided to check into it.  We went to the National website and after reading it, we knew this was where the Lord wanted us.  We were leaving the following day for a cruise to the Bahamas and had a miserable time, because we knew we had finally found where the Lord wanted us to be, in the ministry and couldn't wait to get home. As soon as we got back home from the cruise, we started gathering information on how to start a Chapter.  The Lord grew our chapter, as of today, we have 46 members, and still growing.  The Lord has blessed us and we look forward to seeing what he has in store for us now, in this new chapter of our lives.

Rod and Marcia Martenson - National Safety Coordinators

We are Rod and Marcia Martinson.  Rod got save while at Cadet Camp when he was 12.  Marcia accepted Christ when she was 10 at VBS.  We met in South Dakota at church.  We began sitting together later that summer and have been together ever since.

We have two children, their spouses, five grandchildren and Marcia’s mother in our immediate family.

Rod bought his first motorcycle, a Yamaha RD350 when he was 15.  He has owned various cycles and a trike over the years.  His current ride is an 1800 Goldwing.

Marcia was a co-rider only until 2010.  At that time she felt God directing her to get her license to ride her own bike.  ‘Lil Ingie is a 650 Yamaha V-Star Classic, named in memory of Rod’s mother Ingrid, who owned her first.

We joined Road Riders for Jesus in 2007.  We are members of Chapter 40 in South Jefferson County, Missouri.  Since we both have an interest in photography, we began taking pictures at every event we attended for RRJ.  After working closely with Carl he appointed us Senior Photographers.  As the ministry grew, Carl appointed us National Safety Coordinators.  Our desire is to use the Safe Rider Program to reach lost bikers for Jesus as well as equipping bikers to become safe riders.
